Gender Empowerment

  • Multi-Sectorial approaches to gender equality in good governance, legislation, policies and strategies for accountable and transparent interventions;
  • The adoption of action plans to promote women’s right of access to economic resources (credit), women’s entrepreneurship, and equal participation at all levels of the life;
  • Building knowledge and capacity on gender equality using toolkits, setting up pools of experts, mandatory ‘dignity at work’ training for managing directors on gender equality mainstreaming;
  • Awareness rising to the women and girls within the communities about human rights, existing service and dissemination of referral pathway.
  • Engagement of men and boys in protection of women and girls within the communities through Engaging Men through accountable practice model (EMAP)
  • Comprehensive case management, Psychosocial support and referrals
  • Establishment of Women and Girls Friendly Space (WGFS)
  • Empowering women economically through income generating activities (IGA) and resources ownership, leadership building and equal economic treatment of women and men, girls and boys.
  • Identification and training of community protection network or council within the respective community.
  • Provision of dignity kits to women and girls of reproductive age.

Child Protection

  • Women & child friendly centres for awareness, learning and accountability
  • Gender analysis and response plan
  • Disability/aged & inclusion response plan
  • Establishment and running of Child Friendly Spaces (CFSs)
  • Direct psychosocial support
  • Comprehensive case management and referrals
  • Family tracing and reunification (FTR)
  • Campaign to advocate for children who are associated with armed groups (CAAFAG) and all types of children who are most vulnerable and have no one to support or look after them.
  • Awareness on child rights which include but not limited to; birth rights and registration, rights to citizenship for returnees’ children
  • Working to reduce child abduction, harassment and abuse within the communities through Child Protection Community Network/Committee (CPCN/C).
  • Awareness on negative effect of child marriage and dissemination of the policy on ending child marriage to the communities.
