Quality Education

Women and Children Health organization (WCHO) recognises that education is a basic human right for all; moreover, it is vital for breaking the vicious cycle of poverty and achieving economic growth and sustainable development.

Through, education women and men can make better informed decisions about the things that will shape the future of themselves, their children, their families, their communities, and their world. With education mothers are more likely to have healthier children and higher incomes and children are more likely to develop into responsible adults. WCHO seeks to work with communities, government and partner organizations at multiple levels to improve all aspects of basic education.

Our comprehensive approach includes providing learning materials, training teachers and school leaders and managers, linking education programs with programs to improve health, nutrition and livelihoods (to better address problems of school non-attendance), engaging communities in assessing and overcoming barriers to learning, and conducting campaigns to promote the right to education of all children.

Goals:

  • Provision of gender equality in the fields of education, training and employment for all citizenship participation in the labour market thus reducing the gap of labour force division, quality access to education, leadership and human resources enactment in every community of intervention and citizenship.
  • Enhancing educational equality provided to boys and girls, men and women.
  • Promotion for equal participation of boys and girls, men and women including persons with disability in all forms of education, based in their proportion in the relevant age groups in the population.
